Broken Promise To Myself
I promised myself never to fall in love again,
Until you came along,
And stole my heart away,
Never to be returned.
I tried my hardest to keep my emotions under control,
And not let you in too close,
But that quickly spiralled,
Way out of my control,
And out of my hands,
Deeply in love with you I fell.
Every day you bring the girl out of me,
Every day you put the woman back in to me,
You make me smile,
You make me laugh,
You make me giggle,
You make me glow,
You make me the happiest I have ever been.
That one promise I made to myself never to fall in love again,
Is a promise I am proud to say is a "broken promise!"
